How to Prepare Your Booklet Files for Professional Printing
There are 2 ways you can save a booklet file.
Spreads
A spread is what you see when you open a book or magazine - two pages facing each other. In an 8.5" x 11" booklet, a spread would show two pages side by side, creating a 17" x 11" view.
Single Pages
Single page refers to individual pages saved in sequential order (1, 2, 3, 4...). Each page is its own independent page in the PDF, maintaining the standard page size (like 8.5" x 11").
Why We Prefer Single Pages
While spreads show how your publication will look when opened, sending files as single pages allows our pre-press team to properly arrange them for professional printing and binding. We'll handle the proper positioning to ensure your final product looks exactly as you envision it.
Tip: Save your files as individual pages in sequential order (1, 2, 3, 4...) for the most efficient printing process.
